My research focuses on education for sustainability (EfS) and action competence (in sustainable development, ACiSD) as a possible desired learning outcome. Various publications resulted from my involvement in the VALIES project, which wanted i.a. to facilitate ESD-effectiveness studies. Therefore, we developed various measurement instruments that can complement toolboxes to map the professional action competence of school teams and (possible evolutions) in their students' ACiSD. I was also involved in research on students' connectedness to nature and their motivation towards the environment.
