Lidia Casas is professor in environmental epidemiology. She is Medical Doctor with Master in Public Health. She did her PhD at CREAL (now ISGlobal, Spain), and has been post-doctoral researcher at KU Leuven (Belgium), and visiting researcher at the University of Wisconsin (USA), the Helmholtz Zentrüm Munchen (Germany), and at THL (Finland). Her research focuses on the health effects of environmental factors including air pollution, ambient temperature, urban green spaces, and the environmental microbiome. She is PI of the PIPO birth cohort and the Belgian centres of the ECRHS.
