About Emma Verhoeven

Emma Verhoeven is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp and Ghent University. She obtained her PhD (2024) at the University of Antwerp, where she analyzed how journalists covered LGBTI topics through content analyses and interview studies. She is currently researching the impact of AI on (employment in) journalism, and journalistic ethics in nine European media councils. Since 2022, she has been an editor for Tijdschrift voor Genderstudies. She is one of the organizers of the LGBTQ+ Forum. She supervises master's theses for the interuniversitary Master Gender & Diversity.
