After graduation with a professional Bachelor in Biochemistry at the UCLL in Leuven, he started working as a technician in stem cell research. Afterwards he started as a research associate, providing peptide synthesis services to a startup company. During his time here he graduated from the Howest Bioinformatics Banaba and used his newfound skills as a data scientist. At the lab of Prof. Sarah Lebeer he applies his fondness of biology and computation by building, maintaining and running pipelines to process next-generation sequencing data for various projects of the group and collaborations.
