Frederik Swennen is full professor of the law of persons and family law. His research projects focus on queer families, vulnerable adults and non-human entities in law. He is president of the International Society of Family Law and co-promoter of the UAntwerpen Research and Excellence Center FAMFLEX and promoter of RETHINKIN_. He teaches the law of persons, family law, international family law and children's rights & juvenile law. He is a member of the High Council of Justice and president of the Trust Center for Child Abuse Antwerp. He is also Of Counsel at Deloitte Legal Lawyers.
