Wilfried Parys spent his whole career at the University of Antwerp, where he is now Professor Emeritus and where he lectured on mathematics, statistics and economics. He published papers in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Economic Systems Research, Cambridge Journal of Economics, and other international journals. His current research concentrates on classical price theory; linear systems of Leontief and Sraffa and their precursors; David Ricardo's finances and the Battle of Waterloo.
