Wendt Müller

I am a behavioural and animal ecologist interested in the ecological consequences of individual differences in behaviour with a special focus on parental care. I have worked mainly on birds - from chickens to penguins and from endocrinology to conservation. The current emphasis of my research group is placed on family ecology (e.g. parent-offspring communication, sibling competition, conflict resolution and phenotypic plasticity, as well as human-wildlife conflicts and foraging behaviour). Our projects incorporate behavioural, evolutionary and ecological approaches involving long-term, experimental field studies and controlled experiments under laboratory conditions. ................................................................................................................................................
