I am a plant ecologist. My research is focused on plant growth, plant phenology, ecosystem biomass production, and their environmental drivers. I investigate all major terrestrial ecosystems, but in particular temperate forests. I work at individual-, ecosystem- and global scale, at seasonal and annual level, using field-work, data-analysis and modeling. My research deals with both fundamental questions as well as applications about ecosystem modelling within climate models, global carbon cycle and the anthropogenic impact on ecosystem biomass production.
