Sarah is an anthropologist of migration and mobility. She is a FWO postdoctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp and Assistant Professor at Utrecht University. Her research explores different aspects of young people's transnational lives between West Africa and Europe in relation to migration and development, including their (digitally-mediated) mobility, social positionings, affective experiences, and educational trajectories. Her FWO project zooms in on the role of digital media in novel youth transnationalisms. She employs multi-sited, mobile and multimodal ethnographic methods.
