Leontine is a law graduate from the Maastricht University. In 2016, she obtained the advanced master international relations and diplomacy at the Antwerp University. Hereafter, she worked at a notary office. In 2018, she started working at the Antwerp University as a PhD-researcher and teaching assistant in the field of private international law (PIL). Her PhD-subject is the recognition of kafala and child marriage for PIL and migration law purposes. She also works for the Ghent University on FAMIMOVE, a European project on the coordination between international family law and migration law.
