About Marc Parrilla Pons

PhD in electrochemical sensors. Marc has devoted his career to exploring and developing epidermal patches based on electrochemical devices for monitoring biomarkers relevant in medical applications (e.g., ions, glucose, lactate, drugs, etc.). At the University of Antwerp, Marc started the research line on wearable electrochemical sensors for monitoring therapeutic drugs using microneedle-based patches. In parallel, Marc is exploring energy harvesting strategies to be combined with sensors with the final goal of developing a self-sustainable electrochemical device for health monitoring.
