In 2019, the University of Antwerp conferred honorary degrees to five honorary doctors, among which Prof Heidi Larson (Medicine and Health Sciences) and Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr Denis Mukwege (General Merit).

On that occasion, the following initiatives took place on Thursday 4 April 2019:

• 9.20 - 11.45 a.m.: Joint master class Heidi Larson - Denis Mukwege

• 1 - 3 p.m.: Documentary film “L'homme qui répare les femmes” about Dr Denis Mukwege’s work

• 4 p.m.: Presentation of honorary degrees
