EQUIS accreditation
The Faculty of Business and Economics, including the AMS portfolio, obtains EQUIS
The University of Antwerp – Faculty of Business and Economics, including the activities and the postgraduate and the executive portfolio of the Antwerp Management School (AMS), has obtained the prestigious EQUIS accreditation for a period of 3 years. This recognition places it among a select group of global leaders in business education.
EFMD and EQUIS
The EQUIS label is awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), a non-profit organization of business schools and enterprises that aims to promote, enhance, and internationalize management education. With the EQUIS label, EFMD acknowledges and supports business schools that pioneer in areas such as academic quality, internationalization, connections with practice and responsible management education. Thus, EQUIS is a globally recognized mark of quality in business education.
The peer review team thoroughly evaluated the programs, facilities, faculty and staff of the Faculty of Business and Economics and Antwerp Management School, and after an intense evaluation process, praised the Faculty of Business and Economics for its strong ties with the industry and the integration of sustainability and ethics across all activities.
Multiple accreditations
As of today, the Faculty of Business and Economics has three international accreditations to its name, from two of the most prestigious international accreditation bodies: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) through our EFMD-programme accreditation and of course, EQUIS. Through the FBE EQUIS accreditation, the programs of the Antwerp Management School are triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB & AMBA).
"We are honoured to become part of a select group of top-tier business schools worldwide. This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to high-quality education & research, and our strong links to the world of practice.
At the same time, EQUIS is also a reminder and an encouragement to do better and keep up with the global challenges that we are facing. Finally, I want to express my gratitude to our professors, staff, alumni and students. We could not have done this without their support.” said dean Prof. Dr. Koen Vandenbempt.
