Individual PhD commission

• The PhD student will be guided by an individual PhD Commission (IPC)
• The IPC will be appointed by the Faculty Doctoral Committee and the Faculty Board
  Composition:

IPC = supervisor(s) + chair (ZAP UA) + external member

• One of the members is not directly involved in the PhD research
• All members hold PhD degrees

Doctoral Jury

Composition:

Minimum 5 - maximum 8 members
Jury = supervisor(s) + minimum 4 additional members

• At least 3 members should be UAntwerp senior academic staff (ZAP)
• At least 2 members should be external to AUHA
• At least 2 members should not be directly involved in the PhD project
• The chair is a member of the UAntwerp senior academic staff (ZAP) but not a supervisor
• Preferably the IPC members are part of the doctoral jury
• All members hold PhD degrees
