IOB library
The IOB library collection is located on the third floor of the library of Humanities and Social Sciences on the City Campus, within walking distance of the institute. This library has 17,000 m² of public space, giving access to over 500,000 volumes in open shelves and providing over 800 user working spaces. 200 computers allow the students to access over 12,000 electronic journals and more than 100 databases.
The older part of the IOB collection is housed in the closed stacks of the library. The IOB collection contains about 50,000 volumes, 11,000 of which are monographs, making it the best equipped development studies library in Belgium.
IOB librarian Hans De Backer is responsible for the collection and can be
