Thanks to the support of Tiberghien Lawyers, Kimberly Van Sande's doctoral research was funded under the supervision of prof. dr. Bruno Peeters and prof. dr. Anne Van de Vijver.

Thanks to Axa's support, Tom Vermeire's doctoral research was funded under the supervision of prof. dr. David Martens.

Thanks to the support of Deloitte, the doctoral research of Mariya Otto was funded under the supervision of prof. dr. Bruno Peeters and prof. dr. Anne Van de Vijver.

In June 2014 Antwerp Tax Academy acquired the support of the law firm Huber & Crommen. This funds allowed to finance the doctoral research of Jef Van Eyndhoven, under the supervision of prof.dr. Bruno Peeters. Jef Van Eyndhoven is affiliated with the Faculty of Law. On December 2, 2020, Jef defended his PhD research 'Criminal Enforcement of Tax Obligations. A plea for a well-considered depenalisation' with success.

Corporate life and higher education meet more and more, also in human and social sciences. KPMG Belastingconsulenten finances the Antwerp Tax Academy to conduct a doctoral study in the domain of tax law.

KPMG highly values the cooperation with the university. "The success of a corporation is fully dependent on the expertise of its employees", says Koen Maerevoet (Managing Partner KPMG Belastingconsulenten).

Gert Van Dyck will conduct this research funded by KPMG. He is a graduate of the LLM program in tax law at the University of Antwerp. His research concerns the principle of annuality in tax law.

The Antwerp Tax Academy acquired the support of Deloitte to attract two joung talents for the research and education in tax law.

The support of Deloitte Belastingconsulenten primarily concerns the fundamental tax research within the law faculty. With these funds the faculty of law at the University of Antwerp can employ Miss Nathalie Wittock for the next four years as a doctoral researcher, under promotorship of prof. dr. Bruno Peeters. Miss Wittock graduated magna cum laude at the LLM program in tax law at the University of Antwerp. She will combine the Deloitte PhD Grant with her activities as a tax lawyer connected to the Laga law firm.

Furthermore, Deloitte also contributes to the tutoring of students of the successful LLM in tax law, by financing the mandate of a teaching assistent for a period of four years. During the first year, this task will be carried out by Mr. Nicolas Engelmann, who is also a graduate of the LLM program in tax law at the University of Antwerp and is also a tax lawyer connected to the Laga law firm.

Additionnaly, Deloitte has for a certain amount of time already been financing the legal code textbooks for all students of the LLM in tax law. In order for the jurists to be capable of successfully finishing the tax law program, an intensive training in accounting is offered to them. The content thereof is monitored and selected by Deloitte. 

With its much appreciated support, Deloitte emphasizes the importance it attaches to a good cooperation with the University of Antwerp.

PwC Belgium has sponsored tax education at the Faculty of Law of the University of Antwerp since 2015. The support will benefit in particular the Master of Tax Law as it has been successfully organized in Antwerp for more than 20 years. With this financial support, PwC endorses the importance of sound tax education and research and enables the programme to recruit Kristof Wuyts (alumnus of the University of Antwerp) as an education assistant.

Thanks to the support of the law firm Cazimir, the doctoral proposal of Veerle Lerut, led by Prof. Bruno Peeters and Prof. Dr. Anne Van de Vijver, could be sponsored.

Thanks to the support of the company HLB Dodémont - Van Impe & Co cvba, a design of a flexible valuation tool could be developed for companies under the leadership of prof. dr. Eddy Laveren.
