In collaboration with Team Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity is a natural part of our university. It is therefore essential to address this diversity. But how do you put it into practice? How do you deal with diversity in large groups of students? How do you create a learning environment in which every student feels included? How can you pay attention to diversity when the content of your course doesn't directly lend itself to it? How do you deal with polarisation?
In this interactive session, we will provide you with a range of effective tools and strategies to help make your teaching and your lessons more inclusive. We will focus on the micro level: interactions with students, innovative teaching methods, inclusive communication and dealing with hot moments. A wide range of aspects and forms of diversity will be addressed. Participants will leave with refreshing insights and practical tips on how to implement a teaching approach that embraces diversity.
*This session has the same content as last year's Dutch version: 'Diversiteit: een inclusievere leeromgeving’ (oktober 2023)
