IMDO is managed by a multidisciplinary Board of academics of the University of Antwerp, educating and researching in the field of the environment and sustainable development. Representatives of the faculties of Sciences, Political and Social Sciences, Medicine, Law and Economics are member of the Board of IMDO.
The day-to-day operation of IMDO is monitored by the Bureau, assisted by a team.
IMDO's activities are based on the cooperation of a large group of lecturers and researchers from the University of Antwerp, spread across the various faculties and campuses.
