We are excited to announce the second edition of our Interdisciplinary Project Day, scheduled to take place on March 20, 2024. Building on the success of the previous year, this event continues to focus on the critical theme of PFAS.
What to expect in 2024
This year, we work together with our colleagues from the Faculties of Business Sciences & Economics, Law, Pharmaceutical, Biomedical, and Veterinary Sciences, Arts and Philosophy, and Sciences, to organize the second edition of the Interdisciplinary Project Day on PFAS. This inclusive event brings together over 700 students from six different disciplines.
The event is scheduled for March 20, 2024, at the Aula Rector D'hanis, University of Antwerp, and will be conducted entirely in English, running from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The event includes two main parts: an introduction/pitch by speakers & an interdisciplinary debate. Additionally, there will be a lunch and networking session. The focus is on active participation, urging students to collaborate physically during specific times, promoting a hands-on approach to solving interdisciplinary problems. The pitch session provides a unique opportunity for students to witness how various disciplines intersect and collaborate to address a common problem.
Speakers
Our lineup of speakers, each an expert in their respective fields, includes:
Greta Schoeters, specializing in environmental science and health;
Frederik Picard, an authority in crisis communication;
Luc Van Liedekerke and Peter Verhezen, both with expertise in economics and business;
Isabelle Larmuseau, contributing insights from a legal perspective.
To ensure engaging and insightful discussions, we are pleased to announce that Jacotte Brokken will be moderating the event.
This event provides an opportunity to gain valuable insights into PFAS sustainability challenges. The day promises informative discussions and interdisciplinary exploration, contributing to a deeper understanding of this critical issue.
