The Water Lab is a collaboration between a wide array of research groups and institutes within the University of Antwerp.
The objective of the Water Lab is to offer a forum for exchange of innovative ideas between researchers and practitioners related to important societal water issues and to develop new lines of research aimed at innovation supporting future proof integrated water management. This way, our university combines in a unique way water expertise from a wide array of disciplines.
Our research deals with new issues in the context of climate mitigation and adaptation, pollution, biodiversity and poverty.
Key research issues of this research are Water Technology, River Basin Management, Smart Water Cities, Just Water Governance and Finance, Nature-Based Solutions and Climate Adaptation.
