The Student Council is the voice of all students at our university and they represent the interests of every student. They are also responsible for the general organisation of student representation at our university. When they hear about student representation, a lot of students think about unaffordable or unreadable books, bad classrooms, impossible exam schedules etc. If that also is what you were thinking, you were definitly right!
The general meeting
At the general meetings of the Student Council, topics which concerns all students are discussed, regardless of any course or faculty, for example the student services of the university (the student restaurants, libraries, party infrastructure, etc.) but also education, for example the implementation of the new regulations concerning blended learning, transgressive behaviour and the education and examination regulations. Please note that most of these cases go over a period of more than one academic year.
The spoken language and the language of the reports of the Student council is Dutch.
