Crisis governance is crucial, and therefore the University of Antwerp, Antwerp Fire Department, and PM. Risk Crisis Change have decided to join forces and establish the 'Chair of Crisis Governance.'
Objective of the Chair
The 'Chair of Crisis Governance' aims to create and disseminate knowledge on the broad subject of 'crisis governance' through a holistic, process-based approach. It provides support to both researchers and professionals in understanding how effective crisis management can contribute to research and practice, both at the strategic and operational levels, to adequately develop, govern, and adapt to changing circumstances.
The Ambition
The Chair not only intends to study how insights from different disciplines challenge existing paradigms and theories but also aims to valorize that knowledge for organizations and their members. The ambition of the Chair is twofold: to function as a center for research and regulation and to become a reference center for researchers and professionals interested in this multidisciplinary field of crisis governance.
