PhD research: the Belgian football company in a global context

The doctoral research is carried out within the framework of the Club Brugge Chair and aims to take a legal perspective on how:

to identify and analyse the organisational structures of selected European football clubs and, subsequently, to formulate recommendations to Belgian football clubs how they can optimise their structure; 

to identify and analyse selected topics concerning the regulatory framework relating to the football club from a comparative law perspective and, subsequently, to formulate policy advice on how the Belgian legal framework can be improved.

The research is conducted by Steve Nuyts under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Robby Houben.
