The 2024 Coastal Ecology Workshop will be organised by the ECOSPHERE research group of the University of Antwerp.
This workshop is especially intended for early career and PhD researchers that work on topics related to the ecology of coastal ecosystems, such as tidal marshes, mangroves, sea grasses, reefs and dunes. However, senior researchers are also welcome to share their knowledge and experience. During this workshop, there will be ample time to present and discuss results and research plans. Furthermore, following the trend from previous editions, we are planning interactive elements to facilitate discussion and future collaborations. We will also have an excursion to field sites and learn about the challenges of tidal marsh restoration in the Scheldt estuary.
