Diversity & Inclusion policy plan

The new Diversity & Inclusion Policy Plan, to be launched in 2025, is committed to the structural embedding of diversity and inclusion (D&I) within the university. Being aware of institutional barriers, we strive to be an inclusive organisation in which every student and staff member can feel at home and benefit from maximum and equal development opportunities. To this end, UAntwerp makes a concerted effort to improve the inflow, advancement and outflow of minority students and staff. In both our local and international collaborations, we take responsibility for fostering a more inclusive environment, where equal partnerships and mutual learning are central, with a strong focus on addressing shared (global and local) challenges.

In the policy plan, we gather diversity- and inclusion-related ambitions and actions. This policy plan provides an extensive overview of the ambitions and concrete efforts UAntwerp intends to realise in the coming years in terms of diversity and inclusion. This plan further builds on the many efforts and actions on diversity and inclusion already implemented in previous years.

A policy day will follow on 1 April where team Diversity & Inclusion will present and discuss this policy plan.
