My name is Enrico, I am 24 years old and currently finishing my master's degree in Architecture. Since the construction and use of our buildings contribute up to 42% of the annual global CO2 emissions, I almost feel obliged to buffer this with a climate-friendly existence… Or at least try to make my impact as positive as possible, because great things are done by a series of small things brought together!
My favorite sustainable address: Peter Benoit monument (Koningin Elisabethlei 2, 2018 Antwerpen)
Somewhere in between the city campus and Drie Eiken lies Harmonie Park. A small and quiet piece of green, where you can escape from the urban buzz. One of my favorite spots there is tucked away in a corner: the Peter Benoit Monument. An art-deco fountain that was placed in front of the Opera House in the 1950s, but then instead of being demolished, was dismantled and reused in its entirety in harmonie park. A fine example of circular use.
My eco-sin...
My best ideas come in the shower, but this means I sometimes lose track of time and, consequently, my water usage…
