To meet European climate ambitions, Belgium has just 28 years left to become fully climate neutral. The clock is ticking ... but in ‘The climate shock’ Geert Noels and his team from Econopolis show that change is possible. Together with a panel of climate experts, they calculated the impact of twenty realistic climate solutions: from a climate diet to technological precision agriculture and reuse of industrial waste heat via heat networks.
Thanks to these 20 solutions, we could avoid 67 million tonnes of CO2 emissions a year by 2030. By 2050, we should succeed in bringing our greenhouse gas emissions to zero. However, this will require courage and creativity - from government, business and citizens. This book offers inspiration and concrete tools, to achieve climate solutions and create a better environment for everyone.
Green Office invites you to join the authors in taking a deeper look at the various solutions covered in ‘The Climate Shock’. In the cosy setting of ‘Just a Roof’, we will discover that behind every challenge lies an opportunity: only a positive, solution-oriented approach will lead us to a climate-neutral Belgium.
