VLIR launches the 'Mind the GAP - Integrity insights' podcast series, for academic researchers.

In half-hour episodes, you will dive into the practice of integrity-based research. Questions regarding authorship, retractions, use of genAI, but also how a research path is never predictable and straightforward, and how to deal with data, are addressed.

Those connected to a Flemish university will find the podcasts on their own learning platforms.
For our YUFE partners there is (slightly limited) public version accessible on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.

Fellow scientists, from PhD students to senior academics, share their experiences in six episodes:

  1. 'Research integrity: a challenging concept for challenging situations',
with Aurélie Crabbé (UGent) and Kris Dierickx (KUL)
  2. 'Research Data Management (RDM): an acronym at the centre of research integrity',
with Nicky Daniels (UHasselt) and Laura Standaert (UGent)
  3. 'Dealing with corrections and retractions: keeping science sound',
with Gert Storms (KUL, VCWI), Ivan Oransky (Retraction Watch) and Line Edslev Andersen (VUB)
  4. 'Use of (Gen)AI in research: here to stay',
with Walter Daelemans (UAntwerp), Geert-Jan Bex (UHasselt) and Vincent Ginis (VUB)
  5. 'Authorship: the currency of science',
with Ben Nemery (KUL) and Kevin De Moortel (VUB)
  6. 'More than a scientist: how human vulnerability affects research integrity and vice versa',
with Charlotte De Backer (UAntwerp) and Ernst Koster (UGent)
