With the development of the YUFE Postdoctoral Training and Developing Scheme, YUFE wants to
- provide institutionalised network-broad support,
- foster new collaboration opportunities,
- facilitate mobility,
- and provide international YUFE-wide high-quality training and peer networking opportunities.
All bearing in mind that postdoctoral researchers are a distinct target group that merit specific attention and support in their endeavours, their teaching, their research, in finding balance and personal development.
The YUFE Pilot on Postdoctoral Training and Development aims to promote, implement and pilot this scheme, as well as organise international YUFE courses for postdoctoral researchers on topics such as ‘Leadership’, and ‘International Career Development’, as well as co-organise informal peer-mentoring sessions on varying topics together with postdoctoral researchers, to stimulate and nurture the researchers’ needs while marrying peer competencies with expert advice.
