Import Regulations
The process of bringing your personal belongings to Belgium depends on whether you are moving from an EU or non-EU country.
Moving from Within the EU
You can bring your belongings without customs formalities or import duties due to the free movement of goods within the EU.
Moving from Outside the EU
If you have lived outside the EU for at least 12 months, you can bring your belongings duty-free, provided they have been in your possession for at least six months.
You must submit a customs declaration and provide an inventory list of your items.
A recognized customs representative can assist with the process.
