Archief Gent preserves two large lantern slide collections. The first collection contains 195 slides made by Amand Goderus (1854-1941), the secretary and then president of the Ghent section of the Association Belge de Photographie and supporter of pictorialist photography. The slides depict scenes with colourful flowers and aerial photography. The second large collection is an original cabinet with slides that were used for Art History courses at the Academy in Ghent. These slides probably served as didactic illustrations in the courses by Jean Delvin (1853-1922), the principal of the Ghent Academy since 1902. A third smaller collection contains slides about Ghent (architectural heritage) which originates from Henri Pauwels (1923-2010). He was a Belgian art historian and museum curator of the Royal Fine Arts Museum of Belgium.
