Archives of the City of Brussels

​The Archives of the City of Brussels preserve the slide collection of the former mayor of Brussels Charles Buls (1837-1914), which he used to illustrate his lectures about his travels abroad. The photographs were taken by Buls during his trips to Congo, Siam, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Constantinople, Yugoslavia, the United States, Indochina, Romania, Russia, the Alpes and Japan.
