This collection consists of approximately 1200 slides that mainly originate from the educational institutions is established by the Catholic ‘Broeders van Liefde’ order. Slide series bought by the museum represent only a small part of the collection. The collection encompasses a broad range of educational topics such as astronomy, geography, biology and zoology, slide series with religious themes (e.g. by the well-known producer Maison de la Bonne Presse) and more popular and educational themes by common English and German producers. Self-made slides depict healthcare (anatomic and microscopic images) and catholic missionary work in Africa.
