This round table was organized by CEMPER (Centre for Music and Performing Arts Heritage, Flanders) on the occasion of the official launch of the “Bronnengids Podium” (Source Guide Performing Arts). This guide is a new online tool providing help with finding archival resources on dance and performing arts at archival institutions or private collections in Flanders and abroad. The round table gathered four speakers, amongst whom two CoDa members (Annelies Van Assche, UGhent and Timmy De Laet, UAntwerp), for a conversation on their experiences with doing archival research on dance, focusing specifically on the difficulties and challenges following from the fact that, in Flanders, archival materials on dance are highly dispersed amongst various collections as there is no centralized archival institution for dance. The round table took place as a part of the Flemish Theatre Festival in Antwerp.
