The 22th of March

Team Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to invite you to participate in a Town Hall event on ethnic-cultural diversity & inclusion and global engagement organised for UAntwerpen students and staff.

With this event, we want:

  • to inform and raise awareness about the university's diversity and inclusion policy
  • to offer them the opportunity to discuss success stories and concerns through round table discussions and a panel debate
  • to formulate recommendations to take targeted actions to promote ethno-cultural inclusion and global engagement.

We hope that this event will result in a university-wide network of students and staff who want to support this issue in the longer term.

Programme

11:45 - 12:15: Lunch

12:15 - 12:25: Welcome and introduction by Vice-rector Filip Lardon

12:25 - 13:00: Debating Development Papers presented by students.

13:10 - 14:00: Stakeholder round table discussions (with students, policymakers and other staff members): What are the main successes and challenges in terms of ethno-cultural diversity and global engagement at UAntwerpen?

14:00 - 15:30: Panel discussion and Q&A with policymakers on the possibilities of further promoting ethnic-cultural inclusion and global engagement within the central departments and the different faculties at UAntwerp. What are the future plans in this regard? What is needed to take                                     next steps?
