A movie by Marta Meers, Asma Abdi and Ksanet Kfle

This short movie stars Asma and Ksanet, two young refugee women that are finding themselves amidst the chaos of the process of family reunification in Belgium. The two women, who have walked similar but yet so different paths, meet each other in front of the sea- the same sea that they crossed and that used to separate them from their families. The movie, co-created by Marta, Asma and Ksanet, gives us a glimpse into the past and the present of girls who had to grow fast into adults to fulfil family responsibilities and navigate the complex procedures of family reunification.
