Design with empathy
You design for an end user, thus the end user should be the center of attention. Being able to empathize is crucial. Because our product development program believes in an inclusive society, instructors sometimes take the latter quite literally. Every year students get the chance to walk in the shoes of people with all kinds of disabilities and empathise. This way they get to know the end user and learn their strumbling blocks. Inclusive design is taken to the next level.
" Experiencing firsthand what obstacles a user may face is a real eye-opener for our students." - Kristof Vaes
