The MEDIMIG project aims to contribute to the realization of diversity-sensitive and patient-centered care in Belgium.
Research outcomes will be valorized in the following ways:
- recommendations for policymakers, medical council and healthcare organizations to improve Belgian legislation and medical practice on medical decision-making involving patients with a migration background
- information materials for patients, families, and healthcare workers about the issues at stake and the tools available to improve medical decision-making in a diversity-responsive way
- an educational module for physicians to provide them with strategies and tools that are legally acceptable to improve medical decision-making in a diversity-responsive way
