Non Written Output

Research in the designing disciplines is intrinsically bound to material artefacts, their conception, fabrication, afterlife and care. Also in the process of sharing insights, and dissemination of research results, the role of material evidence may be substantial. Knowledge transfer in these disciplines thus rely upon a diversity of outcomes that transcends the scope of written documents. As a result, an exclusive reliance on written outcomes is not sufficiently providing a proper representation of the scope and modes that these disciplines cover, the practices that researchers undertake, and the knowledge that is produced.
