Hi, my name is Simona and I come from Italy. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Florence, where I studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work on a thesis project under the supervision of Professor M.N. Romanelli. My thesis focused on the design and synthesis of rigid analogues of Histamine as possible activators of Carbonic Anhydrase.
Currently, I am a PhD student of the OncoProTools project. My project focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel ligands for pretargeting, with the goal of simultaneously enabling drug release, imaging, and radionuclide therapy approaches. This is an important area of research, as it has the potential to increase the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy, which is a promising treatment for cancer.
