About EUROSIM

‘EUROSIM’ is a student simulation of the legislative process of the European Union. It was founded in 1988 at Brockport SUNY, USA and takes place on an annual basis since. Starting from 1992 this four-day simulation exercise is carried out in either a European or US-American location. Each edition of the simulation aims at educating students about currently relevant and pressing issues within EU policy-making. EUROSIM allows the participants to gain a unique experience of what it means to be a decision-maker. The simulation is organized and run by the Trans-Atlantic Consortium for European Union Studies & Simulations (TACEUSS).

How to get to Antwerp?

Antwerp is located in the centre of Belgium and is easily accessible by plane, train, car and bus

  • The international airport of Brussels (BRU) is the most frequently used gateway to Antwerp, but you might also want to consider the low-cost airport of Brussels South Charleroi (CRL) or the nearby airport of Antwerp (ANR) itself. From Brussels Airport you can easily travel to Antwerp by train (37 minutes) or by Airport Express bus (45 minutes).
  • Antwerp is also very easy to reach by train. International railway lines (Eurostar, Deutsche Bahn, NS internationaal) link Brussels and Antwerp to several other major European cities.
  • Lastly, Eurolines and Flixbus buses also frequent the city centre of Antwerp, which might be the cheapest option to get here.

The EUROSIM event will take place at UAntwerp's city campus, in the heart of the city centre.
