Why did you choose to work as a project engineer?
“My choice to become a project engineer and work in the construction industry stemmed from my interest in engineering and the tangible results of construction. I am inspired by the idea that I can contribute to projects that have an impact on society. In addition, I love the dynamism and diversity in the construction industry; every day is different.”
What do you do in your current job?
“I currently work as a project engineer on beautiful New South. My work as a project engineer revolves around coordinating and realizing projects, combining technical knowledge with an eye for detail. It gives me energy to tackle complex challenges together with a team and achieve beautiful, sustainable results. As a woman in the construction industry, I think it's important to encourage diversity and collaboration, because I believe that leads to stronger solutions.”
Tips for future industrial engineers?
"Dare to follow your passion and be curious. Choose a study that inspires and motivates you, not just based on what seems practical. Your education is an opportunity to expand your horizons and challenge yourself. Remember that every choice is valuable as long as you stand behind it with conviction. Do not be limited by stereotypes or what others expect; the future is shaped by people who dare to walk their own path."
Why do you believe it's important to highlight women in STEM?
“Because it helps break gender stereotypes and create role models for young girls. Science belongs to everyone, and diversity in perspectives leads to better and more innovative solutions. Historically, the contributions of women in science have often been underexposed. By making these women visible, we inspire future generations to realize their potential, regardless of gender, and strengthen equality in a field that benefits from diversity.”
