​How it works ​

In order to fulfill our mission of facilitating scientific research and increasing international visibility of research findings, we equally welcome researchers from the University of Antwerp and other organizations to approach us for statistical support. As summarized in the table below, the hourly fee for project-based consultancy depends on the organization and the complexity of the statistical support. It should be noted that the first hour of consultancy for PhD students at the University of Antwerp is covered by the Antwerp Doctoral Schools, and therefore free of charge. These prices are unrelated to co-authorship, which is expected if the consultant has made a substantial intellectual contribution to the quality of the work – in accordance with good academic practice.  

Consultancy requests and further questions can be sent to the central e-mail address statua@uantwerpen.be. The first step usually consists of an intake meeting with the statistical consultant of StatUa, during which the statistical issue and expectations will be explored. Based on the expected scope of the consultancy and potential delegation of more advanced topics to local satellites, an offer will be made and the services will be provided after approval by all parties involved.
