​Maarten Weyn holds a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science. He now is a professor at the Department of Electronics-ICT and Vice-Rector of Research and Impact, as well as co-founder of several spin-offs. His research at the IDLab Research Group focuses on ultra-low power sensor communication, embedded systems, sub-1 GHz communication, sensor processing, and localization. In addition, he teaches several courses on Telecommunication and Internet of Things.
