9 & 10 May 2025 - Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp
Initiated by Karel Tuytschaever, Karin de Fleyt and Joery Erna

Artistic Temporalities is a two-day seminar on May 9 and 10, 2025, where art and the experience of time engage in conversation.
Karel Tuytschaever, Karin de Fleyt, and Joery Erna invite composer and sound artist Davide Paolillo, dancer and performance artist Jenneke Slaets, and interdisciplinary performance artist Sam Scheuermann. Together, they explore how the perception of time manifests in artistic collaboration and creative processes. Their encounter is documented by writers Max Greyson, Charlotte Wynants, and Elie Angiel, under the guidance of Josje Kerkhoven from Domein voor Kunstkritiek. Together, they experiment with discovering new forms of art criticism, where the human senses take the lead.
This shared exploration culminates in a public, immersive installation, making the dialogue between artists and disciplines tangible. Visitors are welcome on May 10, 2025, at the Winter Garden of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp to experience this presentation.
