Projection moiré profilometers

Several moiré interferometers are available for 3-D surface profilometry, allowing to quantify object surface shape  with height-resolution up to 10 µm. Object sizes of several millimeters to several meters can be measured.

New in this area is the development of our fully digital moiré profilometers, performing the grid projection and optical demodulation on liquid crystal grids. The advantages are manifold: easy-to-use, no physical interaction with the setup needed, no mechanically moving components, low-cost, high flexibility and sensitivity range, high-resolution, easy implementation of new-unwrapping algorithms…

We use LCD beamers [NEC V595 and V695], Super-Takumar and Schneider-Kreuznach lenses, and several CCD cameras [FOculus FO432B, FO442B and FO323C FireWire].
