Man & Machine
In the topic ‘Man & Machine’ cyber physical systems are developed to improve quality of life. The background knowledge in electromechanical engineering is used to design systems, tools and robotic devices which interact with humans. By intense collaborations with physicians, an increase in the quality of life of patients is contemplated.
The current projects involve:
- design of control architectures for active prosthetics for amputees
- computer modelling of the knee joint anatomy
- hip joint stability
- robot assisted physiotherapy
- implant tracking
- diagnostic tool design
- implant testing
