Too far, too close? A training on positionality for junior researchers

'Too far, too close?' is an interactive training day for junior researchers about positionality with talks and workshops. It aims to bring together junior researchers in Belgium working on topics in the field of gender studies, queer and trans studies, critical race and decolonial studies, critical disability studies and neighbouring disciplines.

Antwerp Summer School in Digital Humanities: Making a Digital Edition. Basic skills and Technologies.

In June/July 2022, ACDC offers an intensive 5-day entry level hands-on course on making digital editions. In this course, participants will acquire a set of basic computer skills to design a fully-fledged, TEI-compatible Digital Scholarly Edition on a Raspberry Pi mini computer.

Antwerp Summer School in Digital Humanities: Basic Skills for Digital Archives and Editions

From 1-5 July 2019, ACDC offers an intensive 5-day entry level hands-on course on making digital editions and managing digital collections. In this course, participants will acquire a set of basic computer skills to share and reuse images through IIIF; transcribe the texts on these images in TEI-XML; and prepare their transcriptions for the web.

Antwerp Summer School in Digital Humanities: Processing and Analysing Images

From 3-7 September 2017, ACDC hosts an in-depth and hands-on curriculum to familiarise novice (digital) humanists with the state-of-the-art technologies that are nowadays available to researchers who take an active interest in ‘pixel-based’ artifacts in the Humanities. Topics for the summer school will include technologies such as XML, IIIF and Handwritten Text Recognition.

INT Workshop Antwerp

INSIGHT Launch Event: AI and the Linking of Digital Heritage Data

On 9 November 2017, the recently started BELSPO-funded INSIGHT project (Intelligent Neural Systems as Integrated Heritage Tools) organizes a launch event.
