Project "De Droge Delta" won Henri van de Velde Award 2024
On January 23, 2024, the project "De Droge Delta" won the bronze medal at the Henry van de Velde Awards 2024 in the design research category. Prof. Jan Staes took part in this design study of spatial levers in the fight against water scarcity in Flanders.
Thimo Groffen won the Frans Verbeure Award
On November 30, 2023, Dr. Thimo Groffen received the Frans Verbeure award from the Research Board of the University of Antwerp for his research on PFAS in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. His research mainly focuses on the biomonitoring of PFAS in these ecosystems, as well as the ecological and human health risks associated with the accumulation of PFAS in such matrices.
