Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic synthetic chemicals that are globally distributed in the environment. The most common and reliable analytical technique for the selective and sensitive analysis of ionic, anionic, and neutral PFAS is liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Through collaboration between ECOSPHERE and IMPRes, we have developed high-quality LC-MS methods for various environmental and biological matrices. This has resulted in high-throughput quantification of legacy and emerging PFAS in samples collected worldwide. Our UPLC-MS/MS analyses have been consulted by governmental institutions, commercial laboratories, industries, and universities worldwide.
